Tunisian Crochet Attempt

As a part of exploring different kinds of needle craft, i decided to learn Tunisian crochet.

When i discussed this idea with my friend Maya, she gifted me the Tunisian crochet hooks for last Christmas.

I started my learning process on the new years’ day itself..

You can read about it in my first blog post for this year ..

My learning process went into the back seat while i was busy with so many things.

Last week i was doing some major decluttering in my sewing space, and i noticed the half done learning piece on the hook.

By this time i have already forgotten the afghan stitch that i was practicing, but i could catch up when i watched one of the tutorial videos.

I did few more rows and really got bored with practice piece..

Then i thought i will work on a particular pattern, so that I'll have a finished piece of work.

But i didn’t want to throw away my afghan stitch practice piece and i decided to finish it …

tunisian crochet purse

It’s a small purse …for the time being it’s a coin purse..

The scallop is regular double crochet stitch, using the ordinary crochet hook.

I’m glad that i didn’t have to waste my practice piece …

and I'm happy with my learning process..

Thank you so much Maya for the hooks..

Now i have started another project in Tunisian crochet…

tunision crochet ripple scarf

It’s a ripple scarf, but now I'm afraid, if I'll have enough yarn to complete this project..

No problem…by that time, I'll be smart enough to transform it into something else..lol…

I think I'm enjoying this more than knitting…

Sometimes it might go into back seat again,

because i have planned some serious quilting/sewing/cross stitching,

but i couldn’t hold not to start a new project…lol

Until next time…

Have a nice day…nima
